This is a regular meeting, from 6:30pm to 7:45pm, at Olbrich.
The mornings temperatures are getting cooler and the days shorter. For everyone else this means fall has arrived, but for the bonsai hobbyist, especially those living in Wisconsin, this is also a stark reminder to have a plan in place to overwinter their trees.
Moreover, November is getting close and so are our elections for officers. Any member can become an officer and it’s the best way to help decide the future of the club.
The main focus of this meeting will be on artificial lightning. While deciduous and conifers are approaching their dormancy period and light won’t be necessary, tropicals don’t really go into dormancy and a little extra light can help them get through the winter. A member will present on this and a discussion will follow.
