Note this is an extended meeting from 6:30pm to 8:45pm
The Wisconsin spring is in full force and we often get to experience all four season in one day. This is an exciting time of year, when we finally get to work on our trees again after the “winter break”. We’ve had multiple members reporting that their deciduous trees already have some bud swelling and in general everything should start waking up from dormancy. This is the perfect time for repotting and the meeting will be all about it, so bring your trees in need of new “shoes” and join the fun. The more experienced members of our club will be available to help anyone who needs some guidance.
As usual we ask that anything you bring in, you also take out; we recommend using a tarp to collect dirt and make the packing and cleaning at the end of the meeting easy.
April is also the time to start thinking about our annual show. We have some exciting news about it that we can’t wait to share with you. While anything show-related will be the focus of our May meeting, you should start thinking of what trees you are planning on showing so that they will be ready and at their best for our annual show.
Agenda of the meeting:
- Quick refresher on why/how we repot.
- News about the Annual Show
- Door prizes (for members)
- Repotting session
If you are a new member, or are considering joining our club, this is the perfect time to come to a meeting and see what all the fuss is about. Bring your curiosity, your questions, any tree you have and most importantly yourself, and we will do all we can to get you addicted to this fantastic hobby. See you all in less than two weeks!
