This is a regular meeting from 6:30pm to 7:45pm
The weather is getting warmer and the trees are starting to put out their new leaves. The magnolias at the Arboretum are in bloom and everywhere around town the crabapple trees are covered with flowers.
Even our little trees are finally awake and hopefully everyone has something to take to our annual show, that is only two weeks away. Spend the next two weeks to refine your trees and getting them ready for the show. Cleaning up dead branches and yellow leaves, last minute wiring, applying moss on the top soil; these are only a handful of the many little things that help getting our bonsai in their best shape and show-ready. What stand do I choose? Do I have the right kusamono? What about scrolls? How do I set up the display? All these questions and many more will be discussed at the meeting, so be sure to attend and get all the info to get ready for the show.
Speaking of the show, a friendly reminder to check out the Exhibit Guidelines.
Agenda for the meeting:
- show preparation
- show and tell
- door prizes (for members only)
