This is an extended meeting from 6:30pm to 8:45pm
September started with a bang and with temperatures that definitely feel more like fall than summer. It should be a good reminder that it’s never too early to start planning for winter.
And if you have tropicals there’s a good chance that in the last few days you played the bonsai dance, taking trees inside over night when the lows dropped in the low 40s.
September is usually a busy month for bonsai: it’s the best time to wire deciduous trees, tropicals need to be prepared for winter, and in general we are starting to prepare our trees for dormancy.
For this meeting we encourage members to bring their trees to receive feedback, discuss their development and maybe even do some work on them.
Agenda for the meeting
- BYOT (Bring Your Own Tree) to discuss its development, get feedback, work on it
- show and tell
- door prizes (for members only)
